YOUR WEBMISTRESS

First off, why did I build this site?  For starters, I've been a fan of the Mad Max Trilogy when I first saw the Road Warrior at the age of thirteen, back in 1981.  I'm pretty fucking old, eh?  It wasn't Max or those do-gooders who drew me into this series.  I preferred the villains, especially Wez and his Golden Youth.  When I walked out of the theatre, I thought to myself, "Man, I'd love to study those two characters and find out what drove them to perform the sadistic acts they did."  I especially wanted to unearth why the Golden Youth chose to follow an animalistic killer like Wez.  I mean, the guy epitomized perfect beauty.  He could have had anyone he wanted, male or female, yet he chose a nut case for his lover.  Thus, I wrote The Birth of Evil from the Golden Youth's point of view, trying my best to dig into the character's soul and find out what could draw someone to touch evil.

One I finished the story, I began working on Wez's tale since I longed to find out why he was such a sadistic, insane, crazed maniac in the first place.  So I named the story The Birth of Humanity because there's such irony in the two situations.  Here was the powerful Wez encountering feelings he didn't think he possessed, all thanks to the Golden Youth.  And in the same breath, his sweet, innocent lover was being drawn into a world where sympathy, regret and compassion did not exist.

The two characters seem to provide a certain balance to each other.  Mad Dog put it best when she called their relationship interdependent.  Actually, my obsession with fan fiction is all her fault since she got me started on this genre, haha.  And yeah, I started another Wez and his Golden Youth story called The Bodyguard.  This came about when Audrey, Mad Dog and I began pondering what Wez and his blond babe would be like if they lived in modern times instead of the future.

Besides writing original fiction for about the past twenty years, I also started spinning slash tales over at Rock Fic, a site devoted to the hot men of rock-n-roll.  And since Megadeth is my fave band to write about, I also started a new web site called Slash to Deth.  As for my novel series, it's almost finished.  I'm working on the seventh book and this chronicle is my pride and joy.  I also have a sci-fi/fantasy novel I drafted that needs some major editing.

What else do I do since my life is so focused on writing?  Well, I live in the Middle of Nowhere, Canada with my hubby and we both work.  And when I'm not spinning tales on my laptop, I can be found outside taking Snowy for walks.  She's my big baby, an Alaskan Malamute who thinks she's a kitten.  Or we go boating, camping, fishing, do some gardening, mow the lawn, plant flower beds . . . We both love the outdoors.  Let's just say we live a quiet sort of life.  My days of partying, drugging and drinking are long done, but I did have a helluva good time in my youth when I was being a total wild child, haha.

Besides all these quiet interests and hobbies, second place to writing is music.  Actually, if you search out the music links I provided, you'll see who I'm a big fan of, but at the top of my list is Judas Priest!  I live, eat, and breathe music.

Okies, that's enough about me.  So have a look around and I hope you enjoy the web site.  Drop me a line if you wanna give feedback.
